I dress my table for the season as part of my practice of honoring the cycle of seasonal change. Each table runner takes a good deal of time to complete because I choose not to use a sewing machine. Sounds crazy to some, but I love the meditative process of hand-piecing and the textures made by big-stitch hand-quilting.
The patterns have been re-designed from common quilt blocks or from patterns I have purchased from Missouri Star Quilt Co. and adapted for my table size and fabric stash.
